Andy spent nearly 30 years as the Technical Instructor at MAN/Mirrlees Blackstone sites at Stockport and Stamford. He has extensive experience in diesel engine training. He brings real-world insights and practical knowledge to the classroom.
Andy has been an independant Training Consultant since 2018. Training Engineers from EDF Energy, SSE, Manx Utilities and Babcock International along with many companies in the marine, oil and rail traction industry.
The courses cover all aspects of diesel engine's operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting, ensuring that everyone gains a thorough understanding of the subject.
The standard theory courses are designed to be delivered at the Customer's site. The course can be delivered on specific or generic diesel engines. Short yet comprehensive.
Everyone believes in learning by doing. The training programs can include practical hands-on exercises and simulations to reinforce theoretical concepts.
A training room for the Mirrlees Blackstone K Major diesel engines has been set up at A&D Sales Ltd, Skelmerdale. Andy is the Instructor here. These courses are part of a theory and practical training package.
Practical training on high speed engines is performed in conjunction with Bartech Marine Engineering, Colchester.
Practical training is possible at the Customer's site if the workshop, engine, components and tools etc. are available. This would be in conjunction with a 5 day theory course.
