Andy Fenn was formerly the Training Officer / Coordinator / Instructor for MAN UK (formerly Mirrlees Blackstone, Ruston and Paxman Diesels) and has been training for 35 years. Andy's 50 year career includes 12 years as an Engine Tester and Development Technician. During the time he obtained a great deal of experience in the building, setting up and operating of Industrial and Marine Diesel engines. He was also involved in the build of prototype diesels and support for Field Service department.
Over the years training was extended to include Pielstick and MAN Diesel engines.
Diesel engine training includes turbochargers, fuel injection equipment and speed governors.

As Engineers move on, move up or retire - the old skills need to be introduced and shared with the next generation.
The engines were built to last. Ensures the skills and knowledge are passed to the young Engineers and Technicians.
